Christmas by Accident Summary
In this entertaining holiday story by best-selling author Camron Wright, Carter Cross is an uninspired insurance adjuster who likes to add a little zest to his mundane job by creatively embellishing his insurance accident reports. With Christmas around the corner, he finds himself scoffing at the holiday book display that seems to go up earlier and earlier each year at the quaint, New England family bookstore, the ReadMore Café.
Abby McBride works for her uncle at the ReadMore Café. She can’t wait until October to build her favorite holiday store display: the annual Christmas book tree stack.
After an accident totals her car, Abby and Carter are thrown together when he is the agent assigned to write her accident report. Can romance blossom between two people with very different views of Christmas? Or was their “accidental” meeting just happenstance? At the ReadMore Café, there are no accidents where love—and Christmas—are concerned.
Christmas by Accident Review
I love Christmas stories. I have no idea how many I own. I have everything from children’s picture books to classic and contemporary novels. They have their own box with the Christmas decorations and they get to live next to the Christmas tree in a pair of fun baskets all season so we can read Christmas stories every day. Christmas by Accident will be joining the club this year.
Camron Wright writes great people stories. They are always clever and creative, and his characters are very three-dimensional. I can nearly always picture them in my head within a couple of chapters of “meeting” them.
While the ending of a cute Christmas romance is rarely a surprise, the journey to get there, especially in Christmas by Accident, definitely is. The story is well-paced, with a great supporting cast and enough twists to keep readers wondering what’s next.
If you’re looking for an uplifting novel to help you start feeling the holiday spirit, Christmas by Accident by Camron Wright is available in hardcover, Kindle and Audio CD from Amazon.com. You can also purchase it at Deseretbook.com.
